As you may have seen on the news last night, Boris Johnson has briefed the nation on the latest measures that the Government would like us to take to help manage the national Coronavirus situation.
Amongst other things it was said, “now is the time for everyone to stop non-essential contact with others and non-essential travel” and that we should all avoid all social gatherings and social contact.
He has also asked people to work from home wherever possible.
Hope Church are keen to to comply with this guidance so that we honour those in authority and protect those in our care. To that end, with immediate effect Hope Church Andover will be pausing all meetings IN THEIR CURRENT FORM including Sunday gatherings, mid week groups, Youth gatherings and all planned gatherings until further notice.
John Hanson Community School have also informed us of their suspension of all facility hire bookings.
PLEASE NOTE: this does not mean that we will cease to actively operate as the Church Family. We fully intend to find creative ways to continue to “meet together”, and support one another. Over the next couple of days we will be looking at how things develop and what that will mean for us as a church, including using online and other resources.
In the meantime, let’s all be on the front foot to care for one another, and to reach out to our communities, wherever we can and remember: none of this is taking our Heavenly Father by surprise. He can use this time for His purposes in our lives, our church and our nation.
As soon as we have further information we will issue an update via email, social media (@hopechurchandover) and this website.
Please look after yourselves and keep looking out for those around you (remembering all the advice we’ve been given)
